Addiction Treatment That Rebuilds Lives

Residential Treatment

Many men and women who arrive at House of Hope are currently experiencing homelessness, indigence or have exhausted all their personal and financial resources. In fact, most have hit rock bottom and are seeking a pathway back to health and sobriety after hospitalization or incarceration, most often for offenses related to their substance abuse. All these factors create enormous barriers to receiving formal education or career training, finding gainful employment, and securing stable and affordable housing.

House of Hope is a non-secure residential facility utilizing a Modified Therapeutic Communities Model. We provide a highly structured residential environment in which the primary goals are the treatment of substance abuse and some with co-occurring mental health issues while promoting personal growth and accountability. Integrated within the Modified Therapeutic Community Model is the Criminal Justice program, which serves special populations comprised of accused or adjudicated individuals referred from within the criminal justice system who need treatment for substance abuse, often incarcerated for crimes related to their addiction.

Intensive Outpatient Treatment and Outpatient Services

House of Hope offers intensive outpatient treatment and outpatient substance abuse services. The goal of our outpatient program is to provide substance abuse treatment and support which consists of weekly therapeutic groups and individual sessions. House of Hope’s outpatient program allow patients to continue with their regular responsibilities while receiving substance abuse treatment.

Intensive outpatient services are offered Monday, Wednesday and Thursday, and outpatient services are offered on Tuesdays.

All patients will have the support of the clinical staff as they learn more about themselves and how to make the necessary changes to be drug-free.

Link to Peer Services

To effectively treat House of Hope clients receiving services through our residential and outpatient addiction treatment programs, we collaborate with over 100 community partners or organizations throughout Broward, Dade, and Palm Beach Counties. With door-to-door transportation by a licensed and experienced driver, these services include but are not limited to employment, smoking cessation, medical care, transitional housing, and detox.

Psychiatric & Medical Services

House of Hope works closely with community partners such as Broward Health and Independent Medical Group to ensure that each client that walks through our doors has their psychiatric, clinical, and medical needs met within 10 days of entry into our residential addiction treatment program. House of Hope also has a full-time Medical Coordinator and Care Coordinator to ensure that clients have their required prescriptions, scheduling and transportation for psychiatric and medical appointments, in addition to all other behavioral and physical needs met through collaboration with community case managers and licensed medical professionals.

House of Hope clients do not pay for psychiatric, clinical, or medical services.

12-Step Meetings

Clients in our residential and outpatient addiction treatment programs depend on the fellowship that 12-step meetings provide to guide them in their journey to sobriety. In collaboration with community partners, we are fortunate to offer this service on-site. These meetings are nondenominational, nonprofessional and nonpolitical. Meetings maintain anonymity and because of this, it is often difficult to quantify the effectiveness of 12-step programs. However, studies indicate that individuals who attend meetings regularly for a long period of time are more likely to remain abstinent than those who don’t attend.

Recovery Through Individual and Group Therapy

Recovery is a life-long process, and one of the most important services we offer to clients receiving residential and outpatient addiction treatment is individual and group therapy. We incorporate a variety of behavioral therapies into client’s treatment plans. Participation in group therapies help House of Hope clients in recovery develop positive relations, practice social skills, and learn from their peers who are facing similar challenges.

In Individual therapy, our experienced and trusted Counselors will consider a client’s abilities, needs, and expectations into a specific but modifiable plan for recovery, listen to and discuss his or her problems without judgement, and allows client’s the freedom to reach their recovery goals at their own pace.

Life Skills

House of Hope clients learn and practice basic life skills throughout their time in our residential addiction treatment program. These skills will be an essential ingredient for each individual as they work to build a new life that is free from drugs and other substances. While some instruction is facilitated by House of Hope staff, we collaborate with community partners to deliver topics that include but are not limited to:

  • Self-care
  • Planning and cooking nutritious meals
  • Setting and achieving personal goals
  • Maintaining a clean living space
  • Managing finances
  • Building healthy relationships
  • Time management
  • Finding and maintaining employment
  • Regular life skill groups will help our clients in recovery graduate to become productive, tax-paying citizens.

After House of Hope Addiction Treatment

Personalized support is available to individuals requiring assistance in housing, employment, and much more. Post-treatment resources are designed to guide clients through the early challenges of rebuilding their life free of substance abuse.
